Welcome to JR. RED DEVILS CHEERLEADING! We look forward to working with you and your child! Participation in JRD Cheer provides children with an opportunity to perform in an organized, supervised, safety-oriented environment. Our program emphasizes FUN for all and encourages the development of qualities that will continue to be important long after children graduate from our program.
As a JRD cheerleader, your child will be cheering and supporting the football teams in our organization on Saturday and/or Sunday, and also participating in exciting local UCA cheer competitions.
Our regular season begins in mid-August and continues through November.
Our National Sr. Rec cheer squad will compete at a UCA Regional Championship in the fall with the goal of earning a bid to UCA Nationals held in February 2020 in Orlando, Florida. You must be part of 2019 JRD cheer squads to be eligible for the National Sr. Rec Cheer squad.
Cheer practices are held at the FMF Complex facility located behind Wal-Mart, Monday through Friday until the start of school. Once school starts, practices will be in one of our indoor practice facilities. To ensure the safety of our participants, cheer practices are held on cheerleading mats.
Cheerleaders are assigned to squads based on grade. All cheerleaders will participate in both cheering at football games and competitions. Squad assignments will be made prior to the start of practice in August.
